October Charity Event to Celebrate Silver Ribbon as Best of CT 2013 for Handcrafted Jewelry
Connecticut Magazine editors (September 2013) selected Silver Ribbon as Best of CT 2013 for their Handcrafted Jewelry. Silver Ribbon is honored and wants to celebrate and do good at the same time! On Saturday and Sunday October 26 and 27, Silver Ribbon of Westport will feature unique and wonderful handmade items from Connecticut’s Cornerstone Project. All profits from these items will be donated to Cornerstone Project’s educational efforts for orphaned children in Kenya. The founder of Cornerstone Project and all volunteers take no money for salaries or expenses so all donation dollars go to the children in need. Featured items will include handcrafted jewelry, handbags, baskets, and more. Join us at the Silver Ribbon of Wesport at 1240 Post Road East. Store hours are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday and 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday.
The Cornerstone Project was founded by Martine Nolletti* of Milford, CT to provide education for AIDS orphans in Kenya. In addition to her dedication to raising funds and providing assistance to the Nambale Magnet School in Kenya, Ms. Nolletti and the Cornerstone Project have a strong commitment to self-sustainability, both financially and environmentally. The Silver Ribbon will showcase the unique jewelry and handbags made by talented Kenyan women. Come to the Silver Ribbon to see handcrafted beauty, celebrate the Best Handcrafted Jewelry Store in Connecticut, and enjoy knowing you will be helping to educate and provide housing for orphaned children.
*Martine L. Nolletti, Founder and Chairman of Cornerstone Project Incorporated, has been recognized by Worldwide Who’s Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in nonprofit management.
